Guinea Fundraiser Show
What a great time we all had at the Guinea Fundraiser show! It was a rich community event that brought people together in a special way: to celebrate our own children's education and to support the education of children in Conakry, Guinea.
The children of New Discovery School did a fabulous performance of African-style dance. Then the audience was treated to music and dance from Karim Koumbassa of Guinea and friends. We raised over $3400 that afternoon! And now the total is over $4500! That can send 45 children to school for a year in Conakry.
I am getting very close to my departure for my trip to Guinea where I will be studying dance and delivering the funds that we have raised. From our community to theirs. We are supporting a global community! Stay tuned...more details, stories, and photos to come in January.
